When you share a snap on your story on Snapchat it takes 24 hours until it disappears, then it becomes an old story subsequently, so you may wonder how to view your old Snapchat stories.

Snapchat is one of the social media apps that is always unique from the other apps.

Despite its complexity for the new users, it has a lot of features that captivate their attention.

If you come to understand the difference between each aspect of the fundamentals in the app, you will be able to use it easily.

However, to view the old Snapchat stories, you have to have the chance, because if you haven’t enabled the Auto-Save, the stories will disappear after the 24 hours period.

When the stories disappear, it’s typically impossible to get them back.

Yet, there is a method to check whether your Stories were saved or not, and how to back them up for the future, and if possible, recover them.

Today I will teach you how to view the old Snapchat Stories.

How To View Old Snapchat Stories

To view your old Snapchat stories, navigate to the camera page, and tap on the “Two Cards” icon, then on the new page tap on the “Stories” menu.

When the stories’ menu opens, you need to check whether the Stories are backed up automatically or not.

Then you have to check whether you’ve enabled the “Auto-Save” feature on the Settings or not.

1.Open your Snapchat app

Open the Snapchat app

To view your old Snapchat stories, you need to do it from your Snapchat app only.

There are no files outside the app that can retrieve your old Snapchat stories if they’re not saved or backed up on your app.

So start by opening your Snapchat.

When you open the app, you need to check your stories by navigating to the camera page.

2.Navigate to your Stories

Open the Snapchat stories page

After navigating to the camera page, head over to the “Two Cards” icon and tap on it.

When you tap on the “Two Cards” icon, a new page will show up.

As you want to check the stories, you will always need this page.

Tap on the “Stories” menu to navigate to view the old stories that you’ve backed up or are Auto-Saved by the Snapchat app itself.

3.Find the desired old stories

Now that you’ve opened the Stories page, you will see all the old back-ups that you did in the past.

However, there is a possibility that you would have been already saved your Snaps, Stories.

Also, you may have saved your Camera Roll on the app.

On that page, you can see all the old files and backups that are already done.

If the “Auto-Save” feature is enabled, you can see all the stories that you shared before.

Now after checking all the saved stories, and you can’t find anything, this means you need to try the last chance, which is requesting and downloading your Snapchat data from the app.

Otherwise, you can’t retrieve or view your old Snapchat stories.

Yet, you can enable the “Auto-Save” feature for the future.

4.Check the “Auto-Save” on Memories
