This is my Magicka Templar PvE Build 2021, which hits 60k+ DPS with the hit of 1 button, for The Elder Scrolls Online.
This build has been updated for Flames of Ambition and Champion Point 2.X on November 15th, 2021.
With this update of the build I do have one tweak you need to decide for yourself if you do NOT weave at all go with 7 pieces of light armor, but if you do weave medium attacks go with 5 light, 1 medium, 1 heavy (I recommend you go with the latter).
I did try out various combinations including Medusa, Mother’s Sorrow, False God, Perfected False God, War Maiden.
With different Mundus stone and weapon traits.

Magicka Templar PvE Build 2021 Gear Setup
ESO Set Bonuses.
False God Devotion Set:
- no bonus
- Adds 833 Spell Critical
- Gain Minor Slayer at all times, increasing your damage done to Dungeon, Trial, and Arena Monsters by 5%.
- Adds 833 Spell Critical
- Adds 129 Spell Damage, Reduces the cost of your Magicka abilities by 8%. When an enemy you recently damaged dies, you restore 2454 Magicka and gain Major Expedition for 8 seconds, increasing your Movement Speed by 30%. These effects can occur once every second.
Medusa Set:
- no bonus
- Adds 657 Spell Critical
- Adds 657 Spell Critical
- Adds 657 Spell Critical
- Adds 892 Spell Critical, Gain Minor Force at all times, increasing your Critical Damage by 10%.
Iceheart Monster set (1 item used):
- Adds 657 Spell Critical
Race, Mundus & Consumables.
Race: Khajiit (best since update 29) However I run High Elf at the moment.
- Cutpurse: Increases the exp gain with the Medium Armor Skill line by 15%.
Increases your chance to successfully pickpocket by 5%. - Robustness: Increases your Health Recovery by 100, and your Stamina, and Magicka Recovery by 85
- Lunar Blessing: Increases your Max Health, Magicka, and Stamina by 825
- Feline Ambush: Increases your Critical Hit Damage and Healing by 12%.
Reduces your detection radius by 3m.
Mundus: The Apprentice
With update 32 The Apprentice is just as good if not better than The Shadow. Damage Output is almost identical, but Spell Damage is more reliable than extra crit damage it seems, at least I get more consistent results.
This is still a Magicka Templar PvE Build, and if you need to heal in a group, The Apprentice will benefit you more as well in that situation.
Food/Drink Buff: Artaeum Pickled Fish Bowl.
The best food for Magicka Templar PvE Build is this 2-stat food called Artaeum Pickled Fish Bowl, unless you have sustain-issues then I recommend Ghastly Eye Bowl Drink Buff.
Alternative food buff: Ghastly Eye Bowl
Increase Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours.
Potions: Essence of Spell Power
As Templars do not get a class skill that can buff Spell Damage, this Magicka Templar PvE Build needs this with potions or the Degeneration skill (morph of Entropy) from the mages skill line.
If you lack gold to drink expensive potions, just use the skill when in groups. (This is actually the better choice for this Magicka Templar PvE Build).
Essence of Spell Power potion.
Grants Major Sorcery which increases your Spell Damage by 20% for 47.6 seconds.
Grants Major Prophecy which gives you 2629 Spell Critical Rating for 47.6 seconds.
Restore 7582 Magicka immediately.
Grants your major intellect which increases your Magicka Recovery by 40% for 47.6 seconds.
(Potions got a 45-second cooldown).
Skills for this ESO Magicka Templar PvE Build.
As this is a 1 button build, you only need the one skill Puncturing Sweep, the rest is just to boost your Spell Damage, Maximum Magicka, and Magicka Recovery. All other skills than Puncturing Sweep are from the Mages Guild Skill line.
The skills are: Puncturing Sweep, Degeneration, Fire Rune, Spell Symmetry, Inner Light, and the ultimate is Meteor.

Magicka Templar PvE Build Summary.
This Magicka Templar PvE Build, was made with one specific goal in mind, and that is to help those of you who are struggeling to do enough damage to do end game content.
Yes you will see people who can do 100k DPS (Damage per Second), but that’s not most of us.
With this Magicka Templar PvE Build you will reach 55-62k DPS in trail fights. Because you get buffed by the group, the boss gets debuffed by the tank and you are going to use your ultimate skill as well.
If every Damage Dealer in a Trial Group (also called a Raid) did 55-60k DPS and could keep them selfs out of too much harm, you can do any Veteran Trial in the Elder Scrolls Online.
The Magicka Templar PvE build – 1 button 58k+ DPS, is only a precursor for the 1 Bar Magicka Templar PvE Build I will make for you in the future.
I had that build up before, but with all the changes to the game, I believe it can be done even better.
